This confernece concludes the term's series of talks on Gender Identities organized by ETC. As is often recognised, the dominant voices in the premodern world have been men's voices. Yet textual sources––from the literary to the administrative––are critical to recovering the heterogeneity that in many cases characterised ancient and premodern societies. Women were inspiring muses; but they also expressed themselves in poetry and participated in cultural productions.

Next Tuesday, March 22 at 18:00 (CET) it will take place a special session of the permanent seminar "Iberian worlds and early globalization" promoted by the project PID2019-111081RJ-I00 “MIBER – Mobility and Integration in the Iberian Colonial Systems” and the research group PAI HUM 1000 group "History of globalization: violence, negotiation and interculturality".
